Your Contract: A Plain-English Summary Guide
Legal contracts can be complex. This guide gives a plain-English summary of what your typical Progressive Robot contract means — it is not a legal document and does not replace your actual contract.
We Promise To...
- Deliver what is in the Statement of Work to a professional standard
- Keep your information confidential
- Fix defects that are our fault within the warranty period at no cost to you
- Be transparent about any changes that affect your budget or timeline
- Treat you fairly and professionally throughout the engagement
You Promise To...
- Pay our invoices within the agreed payment terms
- Provide access, feedback, and decisions in a timely manner
- Not share our code, designs, or confidential information with third parties without our consent
- Use deliverables only for the purposes described in the agreement
- Tell us promptly if something changes on your side that affects the project
If Something Goes Wrong...
- Neither party can claim more from the other than the total amount paid under the relevant SoW (limitation of liability)
- Both parties must try to resolve disputes directly before involving lawyers
- English law applies; courts in England and Wales have jurisdiction
Ending the Relationship
- Either party can end the relationship with the agreed notice period
- You get everything we have made for you (once paid for)
- Confidentiality and IP ownership obligations survive termination
Always refer to your actual signed contract for the definitive terms.
