What Happens at the End of Your Engagement With Us

Engagements with Progressive Robot come to a natural close — whether after a fixed project, after a retainer period, or when you decide to take development in-house. This article explains what a structured end-of-engagement process looks like.

Planned Project Close

For fixed-scope projects, the close process begins at final acceptance — when you have signed off on all deliverables and the project is marked complete. At this point:

  • All code and assets are transferred to your code repository (if not already there)
  • You receive the full documentation pack (architecture, runbook, SBOM, ADRs)
  • Credentials and access permissions are reviewed — any shared accounts are handed over or transferred to your ownership
  • Outstanding invoices are issued and payment finalised
  • A project retrospective is conducted
  • Your account transitions to either a support retainer or an ad hoc basis

Retainer End or Early Termination

If your retainer is ending or you are terminating early (per your contract notice provisions), the process includes:

  • Notice period served per your contract (typically 30 days)
  • Handover documentation updated to reflect the current state of all systems
  • A handover call with your incoming team or supplier
  • Data export provided on request
  • Transition of any monitoring, alerting, or infrastructure management responsibilities

Staying in Touch

Ending a project is not necessarily ending the relationship. Many clients return for future projects months or years later. Your account record is retained and your Account Manager remains available for future conversations. If your circumstances change and you need Progressive Robot again, simply get in touch — no lengthy onboarding is required for returning clients.

What We Ask of You

A review — whether on Google, Trustpilot, or via a case study — helps us enormously. It helps other businesses make confident decisions and helps us grow sustainably. If your experience was positive, we would be grateful if you shared it.
