Warranties: What Progressive Robot Guarantees

A warranty is a commitment that our work will meet certain standards. This article explains what we warrant, for how long, and what happens when something falls short.

Our Standard Warranty

Progressive Robot warrants that all software and systems delivered under a project will:

  • Conform materially to the agreed specification and acceptance criteria
  • Be free from material defects in workmanship for a period of 30 days post-delivery (or the period stated in your SoW)
  • Not knowingly infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
  • Have been developed using reasonable professional skill and care

What Is Not Covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • Defects caused by modifications you or a third party make to our deliverables after handover
  • Issues caused by your infrastructure, hosting, or third-party services outside our control
  • Feature requests or enhancements (these are change requests or new work)
  • Issues resulting from your failure to apply updates or security patches we recommend

How to Raise a Warranty Claim

Raise a support ticket in the portal during the warranty period, clearly describing the defect and how to reproduce it. We will acknowledge within 1 business day and prioritise accordingly. Warranty fixes are at no charge.

After the Warranty Period

Once the warranty period ends, defect fixes are covered by your support retainer (if you have one) or charged at standard support rates. A support retainer is strongly recommended for all live systems.

Statutory Rights

Nothing in this warranty limits any statutory rights you have under applicable UK law.
