The Product Backlog Explained
The product backlog is the single, ordered list of everything we might build for you -- features, fixes, improvements and ideas. It is the heart of how we plan, and it belongs to your project, not to any one sprint.
Keeping one prioritised list means there is always a clear answer to the question 'what is most important next?', and it gives you a transparent view of what is coming.
What Lives in the Backlog
Anything that could become work for the team has a home here, captured at whatever level of detail we have so far.
- User stories describing features and needs.
- Bugs and defects waiting to be addressed.
- Technical improvements that keep the product healthy.
- Ideas and 'maybe one day' items kept lower down.
How We Keep It Healthy Together
A backlog is only useful if it is tended regularly, so we groom it with you rather than letting it grow stale.
- We refine and clarify upcoming items before each sprint.
- We re-order based on value, urgency and your feedback.
- We retire items that no longer serve your goals.
