Retargeting and Custom Audiences

Retargeting shows ads to people who have already interacted with your brand — visited your site, watched a video or engaged with a post.

Because these people already know you, retargeting usually delivers a stronger return than cold advertising.

How It Works

A tracking pixel or your customer list builds an audience you can re-engage with tailored messages.

  • Install the platform pixel on your site.
  • Segment by behaviour, such as cart abandoners.
  • Show relevant offers to each segment.
  • Respect privacy and consent rules.

Avoid Ad Fatigue

Retargeting audiences are small, so they see your ads repeatedly. Without frequency caps and creative rotation, performance drops and goodwill erodes.

  • Set frequency caps per campaign or ad set.
  • Rotate creative at least every two weeks.
  • Segment audiences by how recently they interacted.
  • Exclude converted customers from acquisition campaigns.
