Types of Audience

Most platforms offer three broad targeting approaches you can combine.

  • Interest and demographic targeting for new reach.
  • Custom audiences from your own data.
  • Lookalike audiences modelled on your best customers.

Test Before You Scale

Never put your full budget behind one untested audience or creative. Small tests reveal what works before you commit real spend.

  1. Run small simultaneous tests on two or three audience segments.
  2. Use the same creative across segments to isolate the variable.
  3. Let tests run until they reach statistical significance.
  4. Scale the winner and pause the rest.
