Monitoring Dashboards: What We Track on Your Behalf

For clients on managed services, Progressive Robot operates continuous monitoring of your systems. This article explains what we monitor, how we alert, and how you can access visibility.

What We Monitor

  • Uptime: Is your service reachable? Checked from multiple geographic locations every 60 seconds.
  • Response time: How fast is your service responding? Alerts fire when response exceeds thresholds (typically >2 seconds).
  • SSL certificates: Expiry alerts 30 and 14 days before a certificate expires
  • Error rates: Application error logs monitored for spikes (e.g. sudden increase in 500 errors)
  • Resource utilisation: CPU, memory, disk, and network — alerts when approaching limits
  • Database performance: Slow query detection, connection pool utilisation
  • Security events: Failed login attempts, unusual traffic patterns, WAF alerts
  • Backup completion: Daily confirmation that backups completed successfully

Client Visibility

You can request access to a read-only status dashboard showing current and historical uptime and response times for your services. Ask your Account Manager to enable your status dashboard access.

Alerts & Escalation

When a monitoring threshold is breached:

  1. Automated alert fires to our on-call engineer
  2. Engineer investigates within the SLA response window
  3. You are notified if the issue reaches P1 or P2 severity (or sooner if investigation reveals significant impact)
  4. Regular updates provided until resolution

Custom Monitoring

We can add custom monitors for business-specific metrics — for example, alerting if an order processing queue backs up, or if a scheduled job fails to run. Discuss custom monitoring requirements with your Project Manager during setup.
