Designing an Email Signature
Staff send thousands of emails, and each one is a small brand touchpoint. A well-designed, consistent signature reinforces your identity and looks professional; a messy, ad-hoc one does the opposite.
A good signature balances looking smart with displaying reliably across the many email apps your recipients use.
Keep It Simple and Reliable
Email programs render layouts inconsistently, so overly fancy signatures often break. We favour clean, robust designs that hold together everywhere.
- Name, role and company.
- Phone and a single clear link.
- A small, on-brand logo.
- Any legal text kept short.
Common Pitfalls
Large images can be blocked or appear as broken attachments, and heavy designs look cluttered. We keep images light and ensure the signature still makes sense if images do not load at all.
Rolling It Out
For consistency, we provide a template every staff member uses, ideally applied centrally so it stays uniform as people join or change roles.
