Co-Branding and Partner Logos
Partnerships, sponsorships and joint ventures often mean placing your logo alongside someone else's. Done well, co-branding looks balanced and intentional; done badly, one brand overpowers the other or the result looks thrown together.
A few simple rules keep co-branded materials looking considered and fair to both parties.
Achieving Visual Balance
Logos rarely share the same proportions, so matching them by height or visual weight — rather than raw size — makes a pairing feel even. A clear divider and consistent spacing also help.
Practical Rules
- Agree the order and prominence of each logo up front.
- Use a divider line to separate the two marks.
- Keep equal clear space around both.
- Use each brand's correct, current logo files.
Protecting Both Brands
We prepare lock-ups that respect each party's guidelines and supply them to both teams, so the partnership is presented consistently wherever it appears. Agreeing these approved lock-ups in advance also avoids last-minute disputes when a launch deadline is looming.
Where a partnership is ongoing, we keep the shared files in one place so both organisations always reach for the same, current version rather than recreating the pairing from scratch each time.
