Apple Pay and Google Pay

Apple Pay and Google Pay

Digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay let customers pay with a fingerprint, face or PIN instead of typing card details. They are now one of the easiest ways to lift mobile conversion.

This article explains how they work and why we usually recommend enabling them.

Why They Convert So Well

On a phone, typing a card number is the single biggest drop-off point in checkout. Wallets remove that step entirely, which is why they often lift completion rates noticeably.

How They Stay Secure

  • The merchant never sees the real card number.
  • Each payment uses a device-specific token.
  • Biometric or PIN confirmation authorises the charge.

What It Takes to Enable

If your provider supports them, enabling wallets is mostly configuration plus a verified domain. We handle the setup and make sure the buttons appear only on supported devices and browsers.

If you need a hand with any of this, your Progressive Robot delivery team is ready to help. Raise a ticket from the Support area of your client portal or speak to your account manager and we will guide you through the next steps.
