App Store and Google Play: The Submission Process

Getting your app live involves more than uploading a file. Both Apple's App Store and Google Play have a structured submission and review process, each with its own accounts, assets and rules.

Knowing the steps in advance helps us plan launch dates realistically and avoid last-minute delays.

Two Stores, Two Accounts

Publishing to both platforms means maintaining separate developer accounts with Apple and Google, each with its own credentials, agreements and tax details. We set these up in your name so you keep full ownership of the listings, then manage the day-to-day submission for you. Keeping the accounts in your control matters: it protects your app, its reviews and its revenue if you ever change supplier in future.

What Each Store Needs

  • A developer account (Apple and Google are separate, each with its own fee).
  • Store listing copy, screenshots and an app icon.
  • A privacy policy and data-use declarations.
  • A signed, release-ready build of the app.

The Steps We Follow

  1. Prepare and upload the release build.
  2. Complete the store listing and compliance questions.
  3. Submit for review.
  4. Respond to any reviewer queries.
  5. Release — immediately or on a chosen date.
